Skype has just released an update to their iPhone application. This update allows iPhone 4, iPhone 3Gs and iPod Touch 4G users to video chat. iPod Touch 3G and iPad users can view video calls.

iPhone users can use this application over Wi-Fi and 3G. This is a surprise because Apple’s video calling service, FaceTime, can only make calls on Wi-Fi.

This application is available now in the iTunes App Store.
